Week 4-5

My winter break was exhausting but it was worth it. All 16 days were days I should have taken 16 long hot water showers but I did not leave the water running for a long time. In reality, I don't think people would time themselves when they take a shower so I heated water on the stove and filled up 5 buckets and enjoyed it as well as I would if I was running the water.  People shouldn't waste water because there's a solution. There are people in the world walking 100 miles for limited water and we just waste it on simple stuff like hot showers to satisfy ourselves. By next week I will share this knowledge with the neighborhood kids at my local community gym. I will continue to process this method and teach my kids and the people around me. This experience taught me gratitude and helped me form a better environmental behavior.

Reflection on the 3rd week- In my 3rd week, it was cold so I was thinking of running the water long so it could be warm but I tried saving water so I poured water in buckets and warmed it on my stove. I saved gallons of water and stilled enjoyed my bath/shower. I did this every afternoon after school before I took my driving class. If this project ended today, I would continue to do it because it's helping my environment, and I'm contributing to saving water. One of my motivations is that its decreasing water bill. I've been able to do this on a regular basis now. I've tried working out every day, but that was unsuccessful because it hurt my body and it wasn't for me. I quit because it was extremely hard for me. I started playing basketball and its a habit for me. I enjoy it and love it with all my heart. Reading the article pushes me to continue playing basketball because I love it and it's my passion. It's important for people to chase their drea

Usually, I love taking showers, the hot water that relieves all of my stress and put me in a stable position just satisfies me. But I am wasting water. Is there a way where I could enjoy it but use less water ? Yes, I should put the water into a bucket and fill up the tub instead of letting the water run. I could make this change but it's going to take time.
